Memorial Family and Urgent Care is here to answer all of your questions. Don’t see yours here? Call us at (281) 589-8500.

When should I visit an emergency room instead of an urgent care?

We want to help when your regular doctor is unavailable. Sometimes it is unclear as to when to go to the walk in clinic or an emergency room.  So, we have made a list of the following conditions that need to be evaluated in the emergency room.

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Chest pain or stroke symptoms
  • Heart attack symptoms
  • Deep cuts and bleeding that will not stop
  • Pregnancy related questions
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Seizures
  • Coughing blood
  • Severe burns
  • Bloody stool

However, we provide treatment for a wide variety of injuries and illnesses as a convenient and lower cost alternative to visiting the emergency room. For a listing of some of the illnesses that we treat go to the section under “Patient Services”.
As usual, many thanks
